Qatar Hosting 2022 FIFA World Cup | Qatar Day

In a latest move, the President of South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) Alejandro Dominguez confirmed his full support for Qatar in hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.


Dominguez made this statement during a meeting held on Monday with Qatar Football Association (QFA) President His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani.

The CONMEBOL president expressed his pleasure to visit Qatar, which is part of future plans for the development of international football. 

Moreover, he highlighted that the relationship between QFA and CONMEBOL is progressing according to the vision through which both parties seek to develop football at all levels.
