Powerful earthquake shook Iraq, Shock waves felt in Qatar, Kuwait and UAE – Qatar Day
A
powerful
earthquake shook the Iran-Iraq border, killing and injuring
several civilians.
After
a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Kurdish region in Northern Iraq,
tremors were felt as far away as Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE as
reported in qatarliving.
According
to US Geological Survey, quake struck at 10:18 pm, at a depth of
33.9km. This Sunday's quake hit close to Halabjah, southeast of
Sulaymaniyah, a city in the Iraqi area controlled by the Kurdistan
Regional Government.
